Print text and graphics to IR, serial, and Windows printers with TealPrint. With numerous connection options, TealPrint, is the all-in-one text and graphic printing solution. TealPrint supports printing native text and graphics to infrared (IR printing), serial, and parallel printers with appropriate cabling and/or adapters. Exclusive "HotSync-printing" also allows connection to any Windows printer through the HotSync cradle.

Built-in print tools support printing from the standard datebook, address, to-do list, and memopad databases. Clipboard and screen dump features offer universal printing, while popular applications offer enhanced direct support.

An advanced printing solution, TealPrint boasts external printer drivers to support a variety of devices, and optional bitmap text fonts for outputting graphic text to graphic printers with an appropriate driver.

Graphic special effects include image flipping, inverting, rotating, smoothing and scaling when printing graphics or printing text in graphics mode.

Graphic Printer Drivers

As every printer has a unique graphics language, graphics printing requires either Windows support for HotSync printing, or a compatible TealPrint printer driver for infrared or a direct-cable connection. Supporting additional printers requires knowledge of their communications format (escape codes and data format), information often not made public by manufacturers. To add support for an unlisted printer, it will help greatly to get documentation for performing a bitmap graphics dump on that printer.

Graphic Font Packs

Graphic font packs expand your printing options when printing text in graphics mode. Downloadable fonts allow a wider choice of styles beyond the low-resolution Palm screen fonts. Tested Configurations

While almost any printer can be supported through HotSync printing on a PC running Windows, printing graphics directly to a printer requires a compatible printer driver and either built-in or added IR support or a cable adapter which can connect the Palm to the printer. For parallel printers, we have tested the following adapters. If at all possible, however, please arrange to try a combination yourself to avoid possible incompatibilities with your specific handheld and printer.
