Compatibility
Will TealInfo support my "full screen" mode? (100%) Not presently. We'll likely update TealInfo's file selection screen to support a removable text writing area, but the folios may still appear with a standard display size as the folios themselves cannot take advantage of an enlarged display.
Thanks, that helped!
Will TealInfo support folios on SD card? (89%) Yes. TealInfo supports any VFS-compatible expansion card, including SD/MMC, CF, and Memory Stick. Folios on external expansion have full reading and limited editing capability.
Thanks, that helped!
Will TealInfo run on PalmOS 5 devices? (88%) Yes. TealInfo is fully compatible with PalmOS 5 and handhelds running ARM processors like the Tungsten T.
Thanks, that helped! Features
Can I make folios with a graphical tool? (100%) We're considering a graphical creation program, but it's not yet available. In the meantime, download the TealInfo Dev Kit, which contains example sample source files for making folios.
Thanks, that helped!
Can I make folios with my Macintosh? (100%) Yes. Download the TealInfo Mac Dev kit from our software page. This is just a simple conversion of the command-line based PC utility, though, and is not a graphical application for the faint of heart.
Thanks, that helped! Registration
I cannot register my Stat-Coder / ICD-9 reference. (93%) Please note that the StatCoder and ICD-9 references are not our products. They are databases created and sold by another company that happen to use our programs (TealDoc and TealInfo) as readers. When registering, make sure you have registered both TealDoc and/or TealInfo (as appropriate) and are entering the correct keys into each program. Also make sure you have downloaded up-to-date versions of the reader programs off our site, as StatCoder has previously been bundled with an out-of-date version of TealDoc. Please direct any StatCoder/ICD-9 questions directly to the company that creates those products, as know very little about them.
Thanks, that helped! Troubleshooting
When I look for some PDB files that I downloaded, I can't find them in TealInfo. (99%) All PalmOS files appear on your PC as either PDB (Pilot Data) or PRC files. Having a .PDB extension does not mean it is a TealInfo format database, only that it is a file meant for a Palm handheld. Make sure the document/reference you're installing is a TealInfo folio, not a JFile database, TealDoc document, or other format file.
Thanks, that helped!
When I try to install or run some folios I've downloaded, they crash or won't install (93%) If you used Mac UnZippit on the Mac to unzip the files, try Unstuffit Deluxe. UnZippit has a tendency to mangle Palm database files, including some TealInfo folios.
Thanks, that helped! Usage
How do I make TealInfo Folios? (100%) Use the DOS, Linux, or Mac program MkTlInfo to make a Folio from a text file following the documentation with TealInfo. The process is not for the faint of heart, but is straightforward for anybody with experience writing HTML or batch files. Download the TealInfo Development Kit from our software page for the latest converters and sample text files for many folios.
Thanks, that helped!
