Why do hard Sudoku puzzles have more than one answer? (98%)
It's true that "traditional" Sudoku puzzles, as defined by purists, are puzzles that have one unique solution that can be derived by logic alone. The "hard" difficulty puzzles, however, are a popular variant traditional Sudoku in that they require some educated guesswork (trial and error) to solve. These often-called "diabolic" puzzles have more than one unique solution, which intimately tied to the reason why trial and error is necessary to solve them. A puzzle with only one solution can almost by definition be solved entirely by logic.
    Thanks, that helped!
